Mini sessions are a great way to get quality photos, quickly and affordably. They're also the perfect opportunity to gather your family and share the season of life you're in. Whether you're celebrating a holiday, capturing sweet moments between a parent and child, or just want to document your little ones before they grow again overnight, these short and sweet sessions pack a lot of heart into just 20 minutes.
Each mini session is thoughtfully styled to reflect the season. Some are bright and fun, like my Summer and Greenhouse sessions. Others are timeless and cozy, like Fall or Holiday. I even have unique offerings like the Highland Cow session—yes, with real Highland cows!—and the ever-popular Easter mini with animals like ducklings or bunnies. This year, I'm offering nine mini session options: Easter, Mommy & Me, Greenhouse, Spring, Summer, Highland Cow, Fall, Holiday, and Black and White.
What's Included in a Mini Session?
You’ll receive around 20 edited photos from your session, usually delivered within a week. That includes a mix of candid and posed shots. Some of the best photos happen when you're simply interacting with each other—playing, giggling, or sneaking a snuggle—and I always aim to capture those real, heartfelt moments along with a few “look-at-the-camera” shots.
How Mini Sessions Work
Mini sessions are scheduled every 30 minutes. While your session is 20 minutes, the extra buffer allows time to settle in and let your little ones warm up. I know how unpredictable kids can be, which is why I always have a stash of treats on hand to encourage smiles and cooperation.
A Farm Photo Experience for the Whole Family
Sessions take place on my farm, which adds a little extra magic to your visit. Kids love feeding the horses, watching the fish in the pond or just exploring a bit before or after their session. It makes the experience more than just photos, it becomes a little seasonal adventure your family can look forward to each year.
Mini Session Pricing
Pricing ranges from $175 to $195 depending on the setup. If I rent animals or bring in something special (like greenhouse rentals or elaborate sets), that’s reflected in the session cost, but I always strive to keep things as affordable and accessible as possible.
Weather Policy and Rain Dates
And because we know weather can be unpredictable, every session has a rain date built in—usually the next day. If you can’t make it, I’ll offer your spot to someone on the waiting list and work with you to find another session time that fits.
